Non-Life Claims Handler- Reinsurance - Luxembourg

Oliver James is exclusively helping a leading independent reinsurance group to find their new non-life Claims Handler to be based in their Headquarters in Luxembourg.

They are looking for their next top claims specialist with around 5 years' experience. The ideal candidate will have a first successful experience in assessment and management of incoming claims within an insurance company.

We are looking for a claims expert to review, assess incoming claims to determine their validity based on the policy terms, conditions, and exceptions. The expert will assist in the preparation of internal LLNs (Large Loss Notifications) to ensure timely and accurate booking of major claims and communicate with external stakeholders and third- party experts to gather necessary information and provide updates. As a reinsurance business there will be a focus on collaborating with Underwriting and Actuarial teams in connection with claim issues.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, Insurance or related fields

- Fluent English

- Strong communication skills

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to claims delivery is ideal.
