Reinsurance Manager - FTC

HFG are exclusively recruiting on behalf of a growing London Market InsurTech who are looking for a Ceded Reinsurance Manager on a 6-month FTC. This will be a varied role with exposure across many different functions of reinsurance.

Key Responsibilities

* The responsibility includes conducting peer review for complex activities related to XOL and Fac recoveries, XOL premium adjustments, XOL allocations, regulatory reporting, and Fac setup across various complex treaties. This will be done in collaboration with the offshore delivery lead and offshore delivery team.

* Assisting and providing guidance to the offshore team on functional and process-related queries and issues.

* Taking joint ownership, along with the offshore delivery lead, of the Ceded Re Operations Control framework.

* Representing Ceded Re Operations during internal audits, external audits, reinsurer audits, and control assessments in close collaboration with the Client Ceded Re Operations Manager.

* Organizing regular service meetings with RI brokers to improve relationship and actively resolve issues.

* Building strong in-person relationships with the Client Ceded Re team, as well as the Claims, Underwriting, and Finance teams.

* Contributing expertise in Ceded Re to tactical and strategic projects, involving the development and testing of new processes and tools for the Client.
