Are you a part-qualified life actuary (or talented exam-stopper), with a keen interest in shaping the future of reinsurance strategy within a major insurance group?
Then this is the chance to make a difference within a leading-edge firm, helping to develop and deliver reinsurance strategies to enable the retail protection business to meet its strategic goals.
With strong modelling skills, the successful candidate will possess the ability to build/develop conceptual models from scratch.
Experience of using/knowledge of Excel, VBA, R, Prophet, Access etc. is also required.
Knowledge of protection products (and the impact of product features on risk assumptions) coupled with pricing experience gained from another life office or reinsurer would be highly beneficial.
In this exciting opportunity, you will assist with the tender for new reinsurance treaties on both new and existing business, ensuring the tender process is efficient and robust by recommending and delivering developments to the process as necessary.
You will also proactively identify new opportunities for leveraging reinsurance arrangements.
In addition, you will assist in the development of the product range including new distribution deals by providing pricing expertise and any additional actuarial support as required.
