Annuities Technical Actuary (Pensions to Insurance)

Leading insurer with ambitious growth plans seeking an Annuities Technical Actuary to join one of the UK offices in London, Edinburgh or Birmingham

Oliver James are pleased to be working with a leading insurer with ambitious growth plans in their search for an Annuities Technical Actuary to join one of the UK offices in London, Edinburgh or Birmingham.

This is a highly technical role with the purpose of developing, integrating and reviewing actuarial calculations as part of their BPA proposition. This insurer is looking for someone with extensive experience in reviewing member calculations, including GMP equalisation, CETV and retirement quotations to provide ongoing expertise in respect of actuarial issues (e.g. GMP Equalisation and the impact on member options).

Role requirements:

• NNQ/Qualified Actuary
• Technical pensions actuary with extensive experience in reviewing member calculations and GMP equalisation
• Ability to communicate effectively with a technical actuarial audience and simplify technical issues to a non-technical audience

This is an excellent opportunity to a reputable insurer in the midst of ambitious growth plans outside of a standard BPA pricing role. You will have plenty of scope to progress in this role as a 'go to' technical expert.
