Working closely with the head of reserving, you will manage a segment of the reserving team which could cover a range of London market lines of business. The key parts of this role are providing guidance and support to analysts in the team, peer reviewing work, conducting reserve analyses and providing insight to other teams such as underwriting.
You are actively encouraged to be inquisitive and build relationships with others within the company. There is also the opportunity to play an active role in decision-making, particularly on the ongoing development of the reserving function.
Prior non-life reserving experience is required and ideally a qualified actuary, but those who have stopped the exams and have similar level experience are also encouraged to apply. Any exposure to people management is advantageous but this organisation has great experience of helping those wanting to step into a management role develop their skills.
