Actuarial Data Scientist

We have partnered with a leading Lloyd's syndicate to find them a Data Scientist to join the Data & Technology Department, taking charge of data analysis and contributing to their current systems and databases. Your main focus will be providing valuable data analysis and insights, as well as supporting data-driven operations in the business. You'll also be responsible for ensuring that the value and benefits of the data align with the broader business and data strategies. This role further includes, but is not limited to:

• Collect, cleanse, and organise large volumes of data from multiple sources.
• Interpret data, identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
• Present findings, reports, and visualisations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Support the Group implementation and maintenance of best practice data management processes and tools.
• Work with prospective external clients in a consultative manner to understand and assess the data for deal opportunities, and how best to integrate this into our business.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts, providing training and support in advanced data analysis techniques.
• Continuously improve data analysis processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Additionally develop models and ad hoc reports, sharing observations and recommendations with senior data management, executives, and stakeholders.
