With strong (re)insurance fundamentals and market knowledge, the successful candidate will be commercially-aware coupled with the ability to lead and manage projects.
Strong Igloo skills (with the ability to implement new methodologies and manage model development) are essential, as is knowledge of management, catastrophe models, investment analysis and PML calculations.
Good knowledge of R and SQL coding preferred.
In this fantastic leadership role, you will support embedded model uses such as reinsurance analysis and optimization, capital allocation and strategic opportunities e.g. M&A, new classes etc.
You will also further establish and develop model use throughout the group such as portfolio optimization, strategic asset allocation and underwriting strategy.
In addition, you will play an integral part in maintaining and updating the group capital model throughout the year, refining and modifying the methods used in the model according to the needs of the business e.g., structural changes, new reinsurance arrangements etc.
