Senior Financial Lines Underwriter

Oliver James are currently representing a growing Reinsurance Group in London who want to add a senior and experienced financial Lines Underwriter to their expanding team of 4. The team currently consists of 2 junior Underwriters and a 'head of'. We ideally need a second in command to work closely with the team to help grow both the portfolio and the team along the way.

Over the past year, the client has had great success in international markets. Ideally, we are looking to continue in that regard as well as help to develop across the UK and Europe too.

The business has shown great profit margins of late and further wish to continue in that manner. Looking for someone to be right deputy 'head of' to take on responsibility and learn from the current manager and CUO.

This an internationally focussed business looking to grow in LATAM, EMEA and across the US.



Salary - Above market value + very attractive bonus

WFH - 2/3 days a week

International travel - Yes, but not too frequent



Profile needed:

• 5 years of experience in Underwriting - ideally financial lines / PI, D&O and more
• Financial institutions experience would be an advantage
• Fantastic commercial profile - able to build and develop existing and new potential relationships with clients brokers
• Experience in reinsurance would be preferred, but not required
• A motivated individual looking to grow and build both professionally and personally
