Short Tail Reserving, Senior Actuarial Analyst

Fairbank Partners are looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst who will join our client's London-based, short-tail lines Reserving team. You will support and actively steer the actuarial analysis for a specific line of business in collaboration with other team members. This includes preparation of input data, updating of actuarial models, and documentation of assumptions, methods, and results. 

• Support the team leader to actively steer actuarial results for assigned Line of Business (LoB) with a forward-looking view to bring transparency for a clear understanding of the quarterly and annual Actuarial P&L impacts and trends.
• Execute advanced actuarial analysis to understand profitability, trends, underlying patterns, update loss provisions etc. Includes documentation, communication, and explanation of results.
• Promote close collaboration and interaction with the various business areas

To be considered you will have: 

• part to nearly qualified
• 3 to 5 years of experience in actuarial Reserving 
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and ideally in ResQ
