Capital Actuary

Ogden Scott is currently working in partnership with a London Market run-off business to recruit a new Capital  Actuary.  

This exciting opportunity requires a qualified actuary to act as a pivotal figure in during a time of extreme growth and development for the company.

This function involves problem solving and project-based work, including the implementation of Standard Formula, consolidation of clients and the changing of asset mix. Your role will be to create guidance and approval for the capital model to ensure that high quality data is being outputted, and then effectively communicate your findings to stakeholders.

You will also be expected to contribute to the business development of the company, through the management of complex transactions and processes, building relationships with stakeholders and presenting data at Board level.

The successful candidate must be as a fully qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent), with strong team management abilities and excellent communication skills. They will be able to lead and manage projects or work-streams, whilst maintaining relationships with colleagues at all levels and guiding junior team members to ensure everyone works effectively.
