Job Details
We have partnered with a leading Lloyd's syndicate to find them a Reserving Analyst to join their rapidly expanding team. The successful candidate will work closely with the relevant Underwriting teams and support other Group functions in terms of actuarial reserving, including the design and maintenance of central reserving tools, the processing of reserving data, the validation and interpretation of results, and the production of reports, business planning, and other actuarial related activity as required. This role includes but is not limited to:
- To assist with and undertake production of the quarterly reserving study using appropriate techniques/analysis to include calculation of the best estimate reserves and currency allocations.
- To assist in design and evolution of the future state of reserving through development of processes and mechanisms necessary to improve efficiency and accuracy of all outputs and communications
- To assist in undertaking an appropriate level of analysis to support business decisions and provide additional insight to the business, focusing on the key areas to understand the drivers and uncertainties behind claims emergence
- To assist with the review US Trust Funds reserves.
- To assist with input into Solvency II and IFRS17 Technical Provisions related work as required
- To support the production of any required regulatory returns
- To support the Reserving Manager in provision of all materials for internal/external key stakeholders including Reserve and Audit Committees and producing formal Actuarial reports including Statement of Actuarial Opinions and Actuarial Function Reporting
