Part Qualified Actuary (Life)

This well-known life consultancy firm is seeking a part-qualified actuary to join their specialists non-traditional actuarial team, where they will be exposed to unique actuarial work typical likened to that of investment banking.

Be a part of a creative team that provides bespoke solutions to their clientele’s balance sheet problems – solutions that the team themselves execute! Here you will gain exposure to the life insurance market in its entirety, from insurers to PE firms and investment banks. Working an average transaction of between £5-6 billion, this is an opportunity to experience a slice of investment banking without a career or lifestyle change.

In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Helping understand client balance sheet problems.
• Building excels models to reflect the impact of solutions on balance sheets.
• Building more complex cash flow models in the company's modelling software.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations of propositions to clients and output of work done for clients.
• Build expertise in solvency II and IFRS17 cash flow and capital modelling.
• Manage projects for clients.

What kind of profile we’re looking to engage with:

• Actuarial analysts making good progress through their exams, with a minimum of 2 years of actuarial experience within the U.K. Life Insurance Market. 
• Strong communication skills, with an ability to adapt your presentation style to an audience of varying expertise.
• Experience using actuarial software such as moSes, RAFM, Tyche, VBA, R, and/or others is highly beneficial.
• Full right to work within the U.K.
