An excellent opportunity for a qualified life actuary to join a completely new team within a major insurance Group, producing and reviewing monthly MI and actuarial inputs in respect of the firm's Annual Operating Plan for the Retirement Solutions business.
Developing new processes (and enhancing existing ones), you will create a high-quality package of monthly MI with supporting analysis to provide insight into the Retirement Solutions balance sheet and how it is expected to respond to planned new business volumes, which you will then run and maintain once established as regular processes.
You will also support strategic change projects from across the open business division and you may have the opportunity to act as a business lead on certain projects.
Acting as actuarial subject matter expert on strategic business or Group level projects, you will ensure specialist input is provided to business decision making.
With varied experience in actuarial reporting, or other life actuarial disciplines, you will have a strong track-record of delivery in a commercial environment.
Knowledge of financial reporting metrics, including SII and IFRS is highly desirable, as is experience of reporting on those metrics.
Good working knowledge of the Defined Benefits (e.g. BPA) and Long Term Mortgage (e.g. ERM) markets is also desirable.
