We have partnered with a leading Lloyd's syndicate to find them a Divisional Actuary to join their rapidly expanding team. The successful candidate's responsibility will be to support all areas of Reserving, Pricing, business planning, and regulatory reporting across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for any Actuarial Analyst looking to advance their career with the option of mentoring junior members of the team. The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Prepare divisional combined ratio packs as part of the bi-annual pricing process and present them to the International legal entity Boards and others.
  • Lead annual regulatory reporting and related core reserving and pricing duties where necessary.
  • Support the quantification of underwriting action plans to assist underwriters in formulating their strategy on highlighted lines of business.
  • Develop the link between pricing and reserving functions to ensure consistency between both disciplines.
  • Parameterise insurance risk in the capital model.
  • Set current year and business plan loss ratios for specific underwriting divisions.
  • Provide actuarial input into the pricing and structure of reinsurance programmes.
  • Price specific risks according to underwriting guidelines, as required by underwriters.
  • Actively build relationships with underwriters and senior management and seek areas where the actuarial team can add value.
