Job Details

Join a leading German insurance company as an Underwriting (account) Manager in Commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) lines of business. In this pivotal role, you will drive critical projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams both locally and globally, providing regular exposure to high-level stakeholders.

As the key account manager for global group entities, your primary focus will be on ensuring profitability and monitoring performance metrics. Engage in regular meetings with managers to discuss account status and align strategies.

Leverage your technical expertise to establish insurance underwriting rules and best practices, guiding the organization in making informed decisions. Take charge of reviewing and authorizing new insurance products, shaping the future of our P&C offerings.

Through the use of data analytics, evaluate the profitability of insurance products across various countries. Conduct market analysis to stay ahead of competitors and influence our product strategies.

Play an integral role in enhancing knowledge sharing processes to drive innovation in insurance product development and underwriting procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead critical projects in Commercial Property & Casualty lines of business for a prominent German insurance company, collaborating with cross-functional teams both nationally and globally.
  • Manage key accounts for global group entities, focusing on profitability and tracking performance indicators. Conduct regular meetings with managers to ensure alignment.
  • Provide technical guidance to establish insurance underwriting rules and best practices. Review and approve new insurance products.
  • Utilize data analytics to analyze the profitability of insurance products across countries. Monitor market trends and competitors to inform product offerings.
  • Drive improvement initiatives in knowledge sharing processes to enhance insurance product development and underwriting procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance and underwriting, preferably within Commercial Property & Casualty Retail business.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance underwriting rules, best practices, and experience in reviewing and approving new insurance products.
  • Proficiency in data analytics, with a track record of analyzing the profitability of insurance products across different countries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to conduct effective meetings with managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Innovative mindset, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement in insurance product development and underwriting procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure to meet deadlines.
