Reserving Actuary

A global (re)insurer is looking for an experienced actuary to join their London team where you'll report into the Head of Reserving and sit in a well-rounded team of other actuaries of different levels from various backgrounds. The key responsibility of this role will be delivering insight into the actuarial function to help with the development of claims, underwriting and analytics, which makes it a very visible position within the wider business. On top of this, the day-to-day will involve upgrading the GAAP process, automating SII, model development and IFRS17, to name a few. 

The one thing that makes this role stand out from other reserving positions in the market is the opportunity to get involved in the internal capital model review, aid with Lloyd's submissions and contribute to ORSA stress testing. This makes it a fantastic role for someone looking to gain further exposure to the capital function.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified actuary with reserved experience within a London or Lloyd's environment, who can work autonomously and is self-motivated. This is a role that someone can grow into and I would love to speak with you about it!

The salary for this role is £95k - £110k, depending on experience, and would require you to be in the office 3 days a week. Unfortunately, sponsorships cannot be offered at this time.
