Are you passionate about systems and coding, with an actuarial background and keen interest in actuarial modelling?
Then this is a fantastic opportunity to join a global reinsurer which fosters a collaborative environment where you can achieve consistent excellence and innovation while playing a key role in ensuring the firm is well positioned in order to embrace the rapidly changing technical landscape.
With experience of using MoSes, RiskAgility FM, Tyche or similar modelling platforms, you will have an understanding of the benefits and limitations of such platforms.
You will also possess model development experience, preferably with knowledge of Life, CI, IP and Annuity/Longevity products.
A forward-thinker, you will ideally have experience of working in a Modelling, Pricing or Corporate Actuarial role coupled with working knowledge of database tools, e.g. FoxPro, SQL Server, or Essbase.
Supporting the development and maintenance of a robust set of actuarial modelling tools and processes, you will be involved in a diverse set of workstreams including all aspects of the end-to-end process, including the drafting of Technical Specifications, implementing model updates and testing and reviewing changes.
You will constantly strive to improve all aspects of the actuarial systems workflow, including calculation accuracy, process automation and system performance.
Additionally, you will be involved in the design, implementation and testing of process, modelling and infrastructure improvements.
This role offers the opportunity to stay abreast of developments in insurance and reinsurance markets including actuarial issues, modelling platforms, hardware, product developments and new initiatives, and all within a global, collaborative and supportive environment.
