Innovative and Fast-Growing Reinsurer - Actuarial Associate

Clarence George is working with a fast-growing Bermudan reinsurer to find an ambitious actuary for an Actuarial Associate position. This opportunity is open to actuaries who are either working toward qualification or are already qualified, and will provide valuable exposure to a range of actuarial work within a variety of divisions. The firm are demonstrating exciting growth, having completed numerous deals and transactions which has seen them triple their balance sheet with significant future growth planned.

The role:

• Aid the actuarial team in the areas of Life and Annuity Valuation, Modelling, Asset Liability Management, Capital Management, Risk and Investments
• Support the improvement of actuarial models and workflows to enhance operational and reporting efficiencies
• Gain exposure to a wide range of reinsurance transactions, including flow and block reinsurance
• Work within a close-knit team in a flat-structured and supportive environment with ample opportunity for internal development

The candidate:

• 2.5+ years' experience in a life/annuity (re)insurance or consultancy firm
• Qualified or working towards an actuarial designation
• Critical thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience or knowledge of US GAAP, US Stat, RBC, and Bermuda EBS/BSCR, or Solvency II
• Knowledge of annuities (FDAs, FIAs, Pas) would be beneficial
