Job Title: Senior Casualty Underwriter

Location: Zurich, Switzerland

My client is a leading global reinsurance firm and we are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Treaty Casualty Underwriter to join their team in Zurich, Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing risk, developing underwriting strategies, and negotiating terms and conditions for treaty casualty reinsurance contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Underwriting of casualty treaty business across a broad range of territories in Europe
• Negotiate and manage treaty terms and conditions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers
• Monitor and analyse market trends to identify opportunities and potential risks
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Actuarial and Claims teams to ensure accurate pricing and loss modelling
• Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and strategies
• Provide training and mentoring to junior underwriters

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in reinsurance treaty underwriting with a focus on casualty lines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
