Senior Analyst - Actuarial and Funding Risk

Investment management and pension services provider for public sector pension funds seeking a Senior Analyst across Actuarial and Funding Risk to join them on a 12 month FTC in London

Oliver James are pleased to be working with an investment management and pension services provider for public sector pension funds in their search for a Senior Analyst across Actuarial and Funding Risk to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract.

You will deliver actuarial and funding risk modelling in addition to providing analysis and reporting for pension fund clients and stakeholders. You will support the enhancement of overall solvency, investment and funding risk management analysis and support the investment risk and investment strategy teams. This is a technical role and will suit someone with a keen interest in modelling.

Role requirements:

• Experienced part or qualified Actuary (or qualified by experience)
• Demonstrable UK DB pensions knowledge from within a technical or pensions modelling role
• Experience of using asset liability modelling software and working within a risk management framework
• Experience in using PowerBI, ALM software, some prior coding knowledge and an ability to write VBA macros would be attractive but not essential

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team with plenty of longevity due to working on open LGPS schemes. This is a fairly small team that can offer plenty of variety and the chance to get stuck in to plenty of work. This role may go permanent for the right candidate.
