Job Details

A leading reinsurance organisation is looking seeking a Reserving Actuary to join their Dublin team. This position requires a Newly Qualified Life Actuary with extensive and relevant experience working for an insurance or reinsurance provider. The successful candidate will be a team player with great communication skills.

 

About the Reserving Actuary position

This role reports to the Deputy Head of Actuarial Function and is ideal for an actuary with a strong technical background.

Responsibilities for the Reserving Actuary role include (but are not limited to):

  • Contributing to, improving, and supporting all aspects of Solvency II reporting
  • Ensuring a high level of Solvency II documentation
  • Communicating cross functionally with various teams and committees
  • Stakeholder communication

 

 

Actuarial skills required

The position would suit a Life actuary with over 5 years’ experience. Candidates must have a Life background and ideally have the following background: 

  • The actuarial qualification (IFoA or similar)
  • Valuation and/or reserving experience preferable.
  • Excellent IT skills (AXIS an advantage)
  • Communicating effectively in a team and individually
  • Strong organisational skills
