Capital Modelling Manager

An excellent opportunity has emerged for an experienced capital modelling actuary to take on the leadership of a section of a capital team with an excellent reputation. 
 

Reporting into the Head of Capital Modelling, you will manage at least three reports across wide ranging capital duties. 
 

This will include work across both their Lloyd’s and company models, but also exposure to all risk modules. This organisation has a complex risk profile writing specialty, property & casualty and international personal/commercial lines business. Alongside this, the capital team has responsibility for the company’s ESG model allowing the opportunity to add value to the investment team also. 
 

The capital function at this organisation is very much on the front foot when it comes to interacting with the wider business, providing insight to senior management, underwriters, risk, finance and other teams. You will have the opportunity to develop strong relationships across the business, as well as hone your people management skills.

You will have prior capital modelling experience and either be in a management role, or be ready for that next step. This can be from any segment of the non-life insurance market.  Experience of Igloo or Tyche would be advantageous but any modelling tool experience will be considered.
 

This is a great training ground to become a future head of capital, completing many of the tasks required for that level.
