Oliver James is recruiting on behalf of a leading life insurance company who require an experienced Life Actuary to support in major model change in the Capital Management team.

This is a day rate contract, outside IR35. You must be a UK tax resident.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified or experienced life actuary with experience of either market risk stress calibrations, SCR modelling, proxy modelling. Knowledge of programming languages (R, Python, etc.) are highly desirable.

Start: ASAP- can accommodate notice periods
Duration: 6 months initial + extensions
Status: Outside IR35
Rate: Dependent on experience. Market rate £750 - £1000 /day

Role:
You will support the capital management team in a major model change project with a focus on developments to the SII internal model.

Required experience:
- Life Actuary
- Strong knowledge of capital management
- Knowledge of programming languages, R desirable
- Good communication and soft skills
