Actuarial Reserving Analyst

Oliver James are pleased to be working with a leading general insurer seeking an Actuarial Reserving Analyst to join their Reserving team in their London office with hybrid working.

Within this role you will be responsible for providing technical support in the Commercial Motor line of business. This is a 'mixed' opportunity where you will have the ability to work within a number of different business areas including Pricing, where you will consider how claims, pricing and underwriting influence performance and claims development patterns. And Capital Modelling, where you will be providing actuarial analysis to assess the capital requirement to support the delivery of the internal capital model.

Role requirements:

• Excellent numerical and mathematical skills
• 1 or 2 years of general insurance experience, preferably in reserving, or pricing.
• Knowledge and experience of modelling techniques and computer languages such as R, Python, SAS, SQL, Excel VBA.
• An inquisitive mind, with a continuous appetite to learn and develop skills.
