Job Details
Star Actuarial, on behalf of a leading London Market firm, is representing a fantastic opportunity for a qualified GI actuary to lead the pricing team in the development of pricing models and analytics to drive sustainable, profitable growth and support strategic initiatives.
Working in close collaboration with underwriting teams across the business, you will develop modelling techniques, rationalise and streamline models and drive more data-driven insights through use of internal and external data.
You will also have the chance to provide thought leadership and peer review pricing models developed/calibrated by divisional actuaries.
Alongside this, you will research and develop techniques and approaches to deliver improvements in modelling capabilities, pricing data quality and operational efficiency through model design and use of technology.
With strong IT skills, including comprehensive knowledge of Excel and VBA, the successful candidate will have well-honed interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
Solid London Market pricing experience in model development and maintenance would be desirable, as would R / SQL / Python knowledge.
