Data Science Actuarial Student vacancy

pmactuarial specialise in Actuarial search within UK Life insurance.  We have been asked to recruit a unique Data Science vacancy on behalf of a London based reinsurer.

Our client has a requirement for an Actuarial student to join their Data Science team who provide data analysis for both internal and external client audiences.  The role will involve:

• Working on big data, predictive and machine learning projects for the UK protection market Presentation of results to both internal and external audiences Provision of data analysis to assist with internal and external claims and distribution insights Provision of data analysis to assist internal pricing teams on market and risk insight Assisting internal and external underwriters on relevant metrics General running and maintenance of machine learning models.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of life insurance experience and a keen interest in data analytics, data science and machine learning.  Any previous experience of coding, pricing, data analysis or knowledge of the UK protection market would be highly desirable.
 

Our client is will provide full training in this role. The role will require 50% attendance in the London office.
