Job Details
Oliver James are representing a leading Life insurance company who require a Capital Projects Actuary to support on a day-rate contract basis.
The ideal contractor will be an experienced or Qualified Life actuary with strong knowledge of Solvency II along with internal model understanding.
The project is supporting the transfer of annuity business to the UK entity.
Start: March/April/May
Duration: 6 months
Rate: up to £1000 per day
Status: Inside IR35
This is a varied role. An example of responsibilities includes:
- Capital and Internal model requirements
- Pricing and finance business case assessment; Modelling (spread sheets) and controls etc.
- Supporting the BAU & BA teams with communication to third parties and stakeholders regarding the back office systems and processes.
- Input on treaties ensuring fit for purpose.
Required experience:
- Qualified or Experienced Life Actuary (5-10 years' experience, more welcome)
- Strong knowledge of Solvency II regulations and Internal model
- Experience of IFRS 17 or Annuities would be desirable but not required
