Pricing Consultant

Our client, a forward thinking and innovative Pricing team are looking to bolster their Technical capabilities with the hire of an experienced Pricing Professional.

If you are technically capable and looking to develop your modelling and data science skills this is the opportunity for you.

You will join a multinational insurer and focus on Personal Lines products for who provide products and services in over 100 countries

The Role

Key duties of the Pricing Consultant include:

  • Working in close partnership with product teams and our partners to deliver trading performance in line with agreed strategy & targets
  • Developing, maintaining and optimising pricing models in line with agreed strategy & targets ensuring methods and assumptions used are appropriate and consistent with Group/Regional guidelines and reflect material regulatory requirements
  • Providing scenario modelling and detailed analytical analyses & support, producing timely accurate and insightful outputs to enable decision making
  • Monitoring and analysing pricing performance and forecasting, report on findings and implement agreed corrective action plans
  • Attending cross functional meetings to present the results of analysis and findings
  • Assisting with the coaching & development of team members
  • Supporting the development and implementation of new deals / schemes / products
  • Contributing to business development, management and change activities
  • Contributing to the development of new pricing approaches and techniques
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external in relation to these portfolios
  • Working independently as well as collaboratively across the relevant business functions

About You

The organisation is looking to hire a Pricing Consultant who has:

  • An advanced understanding of data and pricing techniques
  • Effective communication and rapport building skills with experience in influencing and negotiating
  • Experience of working within an actuarial or statistical environment across a range of lines of business, products, and types of customers
  • Strong numeracy skills with a deep understanding of statistical analysis
  • Can work effectively in a team as well as individually to meet deadlines deliver results
  • Advanced research and intelligence gathering techniques
  • Excellent judgement to operate effectively and ethically whilst maintaining the industries Codes of Practice and the organisations regulatory requirements
