Senior Manager - Risk

A global reinsurance company is seeking a Senior Manager to join their Risk team. This is a great opportunity offering excellent exposure and scope for progression for the candidate with the right experience. 

About the Senior Manager – Risk position

The successful candidate will be a senior actuary with a strong understanding of risk management (operational) and industry-specific reporting and regulatory requirements, such as Solvency II. The Senior Risk Manager will work closely alongside the company’s CRO. 

Key responsibilities of the Senior Actuary role include (but are not limited to): 

• Lead the firm’s management of operational risk.
• Build and maintain relationships with various teams and mentor junior employees. 
• Support the Solvency II reporting processes during reporting season. 

Actuarial abilities required:

This position would suit a qualified Non-Life Actuary with post-qualification experience. Our client is also open to Part-Qualified Actuaries with significant reinsurance experience and/or experience in risk. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and non-life reserving is essential. The successful candidate should have excellent communication and leadership skills, be a self-starter and have the ability to influence individuals at all levels in the organisation.
