Personal Lines Pricing Actuary

Our client, a well-known insurance company, is searching for a Personal Lines Pricing Actuary to join their Personal Lines team. Reporting to the Personal Lines Street Pricing Lead, the Personal Lines Pricing Actuary role gives the successful candidate an opportunity to further develop and grow in an exciting, forward-thinking organisation.

About the Personal Lines Pricing Actuary position:

As a member of the Personal Lines team, the successful candidate will work alongside both trainee and qualified actuaries to recommend, analyse, and provide insight regarding street pricing.

Responsibilities for the role will include (but are not limited to): 

• Responsible for the maintenance and development of models along with the translation of price changes
• Creating recommendations based on pricing analyses
• Ensuring fair pricing and communicating this to stakeholders
• Providing accurate insight and ensuring adequate adherence to scheduled renewals

Actuarial abilities required:

The Personal Lines Pricing Actuary role would best suit a Qualified Actuary with prior pricing experience in the general insurance sector. Candidates must have excellent analytical skills and ideally have experience in the following:

• Experienced in programming along with Radar, Emblem, and SQL skills
• Experienced in personal lines
• Capable of influencing decisions
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledgeable of Ireland’s insurance market
