Senior Catastrophe Modelling Analyst

Eames Consulting has partnered with a well respecting syndicate who is looking for Senior Catastrophe Modelling Analyst to join their London office focusing on energy lines. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the team provides underwriters with a fast, accurate service in line with the agreed risk aggregation strategy. You will also be responsible for managing the daily workload and relationship with the outsourced business partners.

As a Senior Catastrophe Modelling Analyst, you will have the opportunity to move into a management position, managing both internal and outsourced teams. You will be responsible for training and developing junior team members, as well as interacting with and maintaining good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders (model vendors, internal teams, etc.).

To be successful in this role, you should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have a minimum of 3 years' experience in catastrophe modelling using Exact, Sequel Impact, Open Exposure, or Touchstone. Experience interpreting energy slips and processing energy aggregates is highly desired. Advanced IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, VBA, and SQL are necessary. A strong understanding of the (re)insurance industry and catastrophe modelling concepts, as well as actuarial concepts, is desirable. Strong communication and project management skills are also important.
