Capital Actuary

Ogden Scott are working in partnership with a London Market insurance group who are seeking an experienced Capital Actuary to spearhead their capital strategy. The role is unique as you will be supporting the Global Head of Capital to embed capital innovation across the business.

Duties include:

• The parameterisation, development and implementation of capital models;
• Provide specialist knowledge for optimal intercompany reinsurance arrangements, prime investment composition and innovative financing structures;
• Validate the company’s internal model, in collaboration with the Risk function, and provide documentation supporting modelling;
• Contribute the regulatory reporting processes such as Lloyd’s capital, LCR & Solvency II standard formula, and other submissions including PRA IMO.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified actuary (FIA, or equivalent) with 3-5 years of experience, as well as have excellent communication skills and strong technical skills.
