Our client, an established Commercial Lines Insurer is seeking a Capital Manager to join their growing actuarial team. You will report to the Chief Actuary and hold responsibility for capital modelling and upholding all regulatory requirements of the Actuarial Function under Solvency II.

Duties include:

  • Design and develop innovative processes and models to allow timely and accurate submission of the relevant financial results;
  • Calculating technical provisions, solvency capital requirements and related impacts on the Solvency II economic balance sheet;
  • Develop strategies and initiatives for capital impact assessment, including allocating capital to portfolio segments;
  • Coach and manage a team of actuarial specialists, encouraging their development and progress within the company;
  • Utilize expert knowledge of the market and present to senior management as necessary.

Location of work would be home based with a visit to the office to meet up with team members done on an ad-hoc basis.

Ideally you will be FIA (Or equivalent) however nearly qualified candidates will also be considered for the role.
