Job Details
Aptuary is working with a large consultancy who are looking for a GMP Actuarial consultant. This will be supporting the business with delivery of GMP Equalisation projects for UK DB scheme clients.
The role will include checking and reviewing technical calculations, developing precedents and providing technical expertise to more complex cases.
Role Responsibilities:
• Support the delivery of GMP equalisation projects.
• Technical support to Scheme actuary and actuarial team.
• Option to lead the delivery of client advice on GMP Equalisation.
• Contribute to the development of the internal quality procedures.
• Keep up to date with developments in relevant pensions legislation and best practice.
Skills and Experience:
• Strong GMP equalisation calculation experience, or knowledge of other similar technical actuarial calculations and ability to build up expertise in the near term.
• Have a good understanding of valuing UK pension schemes defined benefits.
• Strong technical actuarial skills and a preference to work on technical actuarial matters.
• Working knowledge of the legislative framework for UK pension schemes, including treatment of GMPs.
