Oliver James are pleased to be working with a leading UK pensions consultancy seeking a Pensions Consultant to join their dedicated LGPS team (Local government pension schemes). This team are looking for someone to eventually be lead consultant/actuary within the LGPS sector, where funds are still open to accrual and there is currently no finite end game.
Within this role you will be working as part of a team to develop and deliver customised advice and solutions, predominantly to LGPS clients and private sector, if you wish. You will be responsible for servicing private sector trustee relationships, including checking and reviewing of triennial valuations, annual actuarial reports, summary funding statements, factor reviews, transfer value processes and general updates on pensions regulation and legislation.
- Making good progress with your FIA exams or recently qualified
- Current experience working as a part-qualified/qualified actuary working for a Pensions Consultancy
- LGPS experience would be an advantage. Candidates without this experience but a desire to specialise in this area will also be considered
