pmactuarial specialise in Actuarial search within UK Life insurance.  We have been asked to find a Head of Modelling for an Edinburgh based life insurer.

The role focuses on, and is responsible for, delivery of the actuarial modelling required for the calculation of:  Solvency II capital, IFRS reporting, Group economic capital, Value of new business and Reinsurance treaties.  This includes responsibility for the maintenance and development of the complex actuarial modelling systems that are used to value the liabilities, together with the development and production of the valuation data extracts used by the actuarial models.

The ideal candidate will be an expert user of Prophet actuarial modelling software and have the ability to lead a team of SAS and Prophet developers.  This role is open to those who are not qualified Actuaries.
