Catastrophe Research Analyst
Are you a Catastrophe Modeller or Exposure management Analyst with a couple of years of experience looking to get involved on the Research, Model Development and Evaluation side of the industry?
If so, please get in touch to discuss this rare opportunity to transition into a Catastrophe Research role early on in your career where you will conduct research on natural perils and their influences on existing catastrophe models.
I am currently working with a respected Broker in London who is looking to expand its Catastrophe Research team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a collaborative team of professionals who lead the industry in catastrophe research and model development. This role will focus on all natural perils and emerging risk such as climate change with the autonomy to specialise in specific topics/perils. The selected candidate will be tasked with enhancing this brokers view of risk and improving catastrophe models by looking at the latest research and trends while working with and learning from the best researchers in the industry.
While preference will be given to candidates with experience working on model validation, evaluation and development those who have general catastrophe modelling/EM experience with the passion for R&D are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background with a MSc/PhD (or equivalent) and strong technical skills in SQL, Python and/or R.
