Job Details
A new role has emerged with an international insurer to lead and develop their data analytics team.
Working closely with several teams such as data engineering, underwriting, data management and others; you will initially be a key part of the transformation project to establish a centralised data science team.
The aim of the team is to provide support for the organisation’s strategic objectives, and this will be achieved by developing a clear roadmap for data analytics. You will be integral to the creation, maintenance and enhancement of tools, predictive models, datasets and dashboards.
This role will be supported by a team of four analysts with responsibility to motivate and support them in their duties.
Ideally you will have a background in the insurance market as an actuary, data scientist or programmer, seeking the next step into a commercial management position within the data analytics field.
You will have python programming experience (or similar) with SQL knowledge being advantageous. AI/machine learning experience and a continued interest in these areas is also required.
Just as important as the technical requirements for this role are the abilities to deal with several stakeholders providing commercial insight as well as having people management skills. You may be an established manager already or this role could be someone stepping up to this level.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new in a well-established and well known insurance business.
