A global life insurance client is looking for a new hire within their financial reporting team. This role works to support the financial strength of the business by designing and developing new or improved solutions. If you have the ability to solve complex problems by providing efficient solutions and are excited to aid projects with other actuaries of a range of seniority, then this is the opportunity for you.

You will be tasked with:

  • Solvency monitoring and financial reporting to develop a deep understanding of the business and the impacts on the wider market
  • Delivering and developing analysis and reporting the results to senior managers
  • Design technical solutions as part of wider projects and giving guidance and advice to support the team

You should apply if you have:

  • Good technical actuarial knowledge and strong coding and automation skills and experience, e.g. Excel
  • Project management skills to ensure that deadlines are met within the team
  • Knowledge of solvency II, IFRS and with-profits business – however on-the-job training for a successful candidate
  • Confidence communication and presenting solutions to the wider team
  • Evidence of progression in FIA qualification, or equivalent, or recently received qualification
  • Ability to work within the UK
