Financial Markets Risk Manager

Arthur is proud to partner with our client, an international specialty reinsurance firm with a strong market reputation, on the search for a Financial Market Risk Manager to work in their City of London offices.

Reporting directly into the Head of Financial Risk, and working in a broad position, this role will involve interactions with stakeholders at all levels across the business to provide effective financial risk management challenge and in particular will include:
 

• Partnering closely with the investment team to support the management of their portfolios and direct their strategy from a risk management perspective
• Working with the actuarial function to support the review of the business’ asset portfolio and to contribute towards validation and calibration of the internal model
• Completing elements of the ORSA report covering credit, market and liquidity risk including stress & scenario testing
• Offering risk management review of the company’s investment plan
• Contributing to the development of their MSCI risk management tool

Our client is open minded on the candidate that they bring into this role however, as is evident when seeing the content of this position, you will need to display a good understanding of a variety investment structures and financial tools with the ability to communicate with people at all levels of technical understanding and to offer effective challenge when needed.
