Actuarial Analyst (Collateral & Reinsurance Management)

Market leading UK insurer is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join its Collateral & (Re)Insurance Management team at its London office.

Oliver James is pleased to be working with a London-based market leading UK insurance provider on an Actuarial Analyst vacancy.

The Part Qualified Actuary will join the newly assembled Collateral & (Re)Insurance team which sits within its Pension Risk Transfer unit, ideally from a Defined Benefit pensions background. The role will involve managing arrangements agreed following a DB pension risk transfer deal. You will provide post-sale monitoring and calculations relating to buy-in/out pricing, reinsurance, longevity insurance and collateral arrangements.

Role requirements

• Part Qualified Pensions Actuary with 1-3 years' relevant knowledge of DB pension schemes and associated valuation techniques
• Ongoing progress with actuarial exams
• Excellent UK pensions technical knowledge
• Commercial awareness and ability to be proactive with clients
