Group ERM Senior Manager

Bolton Associates are working with a global P&C company who are looking to hire a Group ERM Senior Manager to join their Risk team, and will be based in their Luxembourg office. The Group ERM Senior Manager will be reporting to the ERM & Risk Governance Principal and will also assume the Risk Management Key Function Holder responsibilities for their International business.

The key responsibilities will be as follows:

• As a Group ERM Senior Manager, you will mainly be responsible for all internal and external risk reporting and other risk related compliance requirements for the company and its key operating entities.

• As a Risk Management Key Function Holder for the company, you will be responsible for all aspects of the enterprise risk management framework, ensuring appropriate processes, policies and reporting is in place for the Company, in line with regulatory requirements.

This is a newly created role the ideal candidate will come from the following background:

• Bachelor’s degree with successful completion of a higher degree or professional qualification in actuarial (FIA or FCAS), finance (CFA) or accounting (CA);

• At least 5 years of experience in the field of (re) insurance risk management within the Commercial P&C industry.

• Proven ability to plan, organize and direct the execution of organizational goals, objectives, and complex processes;

• Ability to think strategically and stimulate creativity;

• Ability to influence and have organization impact beyond immediate team, build relationships across the organization and lead change;

• Demonstrated proactive approach and ability to work in fast-paced environment;

• Excellent communication and presentational skills;

• Experience implementing risk management frameworks;

• Experience with Solvency II and similar regulatory regimes.

The ideal candidate will have experience of ORSAs and writing risk reports for the board, responding to regulators and co-ordinating the responses within the company. Although the role is located in Lux you will gain experience globally across all regulators and risk requirements. The role would suit an actuary who is keen to move into a more risk related role and would like to become a CRO at some point in the future.
