Non-Life Consulting Qualified Actuary
Our Client is looking for an experienced qualified (2-3 years + PQE) non-life actuary who will be comfortable leading consulting engagements, and acting as the HoAF (previous HoAF Experience not essential).

Our Client is the leading independent insurance and reinsurance management provider in Dublin, offering management, finance, compliance and actuarial services to both in-house and third-party clients.
Specifically our client provides independent actuarial advice to the non-life insurance and reinsurance industries both in Ireland and internationally, offering services including External Actuarial Function, External Risk Function, Pricing, Reserving, Reporting and Capital Modelling.
About the Role
Our client has a well established (10 years), medium size actuarial team. The team is highly collaborative, and places great emphasis on work-life balance, including hybrid working. Therefore, in this role you will have full visibility and exposure to all areas of actuarial consulting. Working closely with the actuarial team, the successful candidate’s role would include some or all of the following:
- Reserving (incl HoAF roles);
- Pricing;
- Capital Modelling;
- Risk Management;
- Regulatory Reporting;
- Business Development.

He has worked in life and general, domestic and reinsurance, the company market and consultancy. He operated at all levels over his career, from student life actuary, to underwriting director, to head of the non-life arm of a large Irish Actuarial consultancy. He was also very active in the Irish Society of Actuaries, and among other things, had the honour of serving two terms on Council, as well as chair of the general insurance committee.
As a result, Ger has gained a unique insight into what both employers and actuarial, data scientists and risk professionals are seeking from each other. He has very extensive and trusted contacts both in companies and in the actuarial, data analytics and risk communities.
