Senior Actuary

Orange Malone are working with a specialist Insurance company who are looking for a senior actuary who will play a key part in the Investment team to support their work and provide challenges where appropriate. This will include producing or validating the required analysis of financial implications of new trades or transfers from/to the Matching Adjustment portfolio. The role holder will use insights and analysis to improve business performance and add value in other areas, particularly in relation to ALM-related analyses such as hedging and risk management activities.

Key responsibilities
• Provide the required analysis of financial implications of new trades, transfers from/to the MA portfolio and other hedging and risk management activities;
• Understand cashflow matching of the MA Fund and support analysis of movement if required;
• Ensure our client operates the MA Fund in line with their MA Application and the PRA regulatory requirement, in particular, to assess MA eligibility for new transactions and ensure trades are structured in a MA compliant fashion.
