Actuarial Analyst or Senior Analyst - Life Investments

Orange Malone are working with a specialist insurance company in London who are looking for an actuarial analyst or nearly qualified actuary to work within the actuarial team within Finance that contributes to the overall success of the business by ensuring actuarial information is produced in a timely, accurate fashion.
Our clients team works closely with the Origination team, the Investment team and Forecasts and Planning (F&P) team to understand the impact of trading and new deals coming through as well as the impact of management decisions and events on the balance sheet.

Key responsibilities
• Work closely with Origination, Investments and F&P to understand the financial implications of new business, trading, transfers from/to the MA portfolio and other hedging and risk management activities;
• Monthly production and monitoring of MA cashflow matching, particularly PRA Test 3 measure. PRA Test 3 aims to assess the adequacy of cash-flow matching, and quantifies by how much the matching adjustment (MA’) would change if our client was able to eliminate any surplus or shortfall in its net (asset less liability) cash flows by investing in a ‘notional swap’ which simulates a perfectly matched position;
• Assess MA eligibility for schemes and/or reinsurance treaties.
