Head of Pricing & Underwriting

Continue building your technical skills and work in a dynamic team environment. This leading general insurer is seeking a motivated individual with pricing and underwriting experience.

About the Role

• Lead the formulation and growth of key pricing structures and enhance strategic development in order to maintain market competitiveness and maximise commercial margins
• Facilitate strong and direct leadership for the ANZ region through developing technical expertise amongst juniors, providing day-to-day guidance, and smoothing the way for a strong team culture
• Liaise with key business teams to undertake plan capacity and underwriting activities that align with business strategy and growth for new deals and renewals
• Establish and monitor existing frameworks for evaluating individual deals and product portfolio performance

About You

• FIAA Qualified or Equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in the Australian General Insurance industry, especially in property/casualty and underwriting short tail risk
• Experience with Travel insurance is highly desirable
• Ability to foster strong team culture, experience in project management, and strong oral and written communication skills
