Ogden Scott is currently working in partnership with a London Market run off business to recruit a new Senior Reserving Analyst.  

This exciting new opportunity requires a part-qualified actuarial analyst to join a company who are bringing new business onboard and need a passionate individual who is looking to become part of a pivotal project for the organisation. 

In this key role, you will be responsible for the management and business units of reserving and planning analyses. 

You will be undertaking process of providing full reserve reviews of new and existing portfolios within Lloyd’s syndicates, producing deep dive reserve reports, and calculating Solvency II Technical Provisions data.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop reserve projects to support the business planning and lead junior members of the team on these projects, providing guidance and technical experience.  

The successful candidate will possess experience in non-life insurance and be able to deliver complex work output. They will be able to provide detailed technical analysis, be able to deliver high quality output based on independent definition of task and effectively manage project work with the assistance of clear communication skills. It is also necessary to have knowledge of various IT tools including Excel, Access, Word and databases, and knowledge of ResQ would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
