Oliver James is supporting a leading Life insurance business who require an actuarial contractor to support the Capital team with solvency monitoring and Stress and Scenario Testing

The ideal candidate will be a qualified or experienced actuary with a strong knowledge of capital and solvency II. Previous experience in a solvency monitoring or Stress and Scenario testing role would be beneficial

Role: Solvency Monitoring and SST Actuary

Location: Flexible working/Home working available

Rate: £900-1100 per day

IR35: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)

Duration: 6 months

Start date: Mid-July ideally (flexible)


  • Support capital monitoring and Stress and Scenario testing
  • Management and team leadership responsibilities can be allocated to more experience applicants

Required Experience

  • Qualified or Experienced Life Actuary
  • Strong knowledge of capital and solvency II
  • Prior experience of stress testing
  • Previous experience managing or leading a lead would be beneficial (not mandatory)
  • Strong communication skills, and stakeholder management experience is desirable
