Job Details

We are currently partnered with a prominent London Market Insurer as they recruit a new Senior Reserving Analyst.

This Senior Reserving Analyst role, which reports to the Reserving Manager, comes off the back of a period of sustained growth and investment in the Actuarial function.

On a day-to-day basis the Senior Reserving Analyst will be responsible for leading reserve reviews, mentoring junior Analysts and presenting findings to senior stakeholders up to Chief Actuary level.

Our client typically use ResQ, however they are looking to automate as many parts of the Reserving process as possible - this means candidates with good Python / SAS experience would be preferred.

Ideal skills and experience of the Senior Reserving Analyst include:

  • Ideally 3+ years of Reserving experience, gained within Commercial Lines of Personal Lines
  • Strong technical skills including the use of ResQ
  • Excellent communication skills, including with non-technical stakeholders such as Claims
  • Prior experience of automating the Reserving process is beneficial
  • Good progress in the IFoA examinations, along with desire to qualify as an Actuary ASAP
