Our client, a major insurer, is seeking a part-qualified or qualified GI actuary to provide data, analytical support and recommendations to inform Capital Modelling, Reserving, Forecasting, Monitoring and associated business decision making.
In this excellent career development opportunity, you will communicate effectively to colleagues and team managers the impact and conclusion of work undertaken, particularly in identifying model or data issues and suggesting appropriate remedial actions.
You will also maintain an awareness of, and comply with on an ongoing basis, the requirements of relevant professional/legal/regulatory/risk management frameworks, e.g. IFRS17, Technical Actuarial Standards, GPL, SOX, PRAIS, SII & UK GAAP requirements.
With the ability to quickly grasp different models, codes and processes and commercial acumen, the successful candidate will be proficient in Excel and programming e.g. R / SQL / Python / Igloo / Tyche / ResQ / Psicle.
Experience working in both capital modelling and reserving within general insurance is desirable as is prior experience in a transformation program.
